GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. – Tyler McCloud never thought he'd be breaking his back window out on purpose, but Wednesday he was one of many people doing so to clean-up.

"Right there is the bullet hole and that tempered glass just shatters," he said.

McCloud is one of many in his neighborhood with damage. Goodlettsville Police Commander Daniel Okert said between Madison, Goodlettsville and Hendersonville, 18-year-old Cody Sartain may have shot out nearly 100 vehicle windows and counting.

Sartain admitted to getting into a fight with his girlfriend and shooting out her back window after storming off Monday night. He apparently confessed to doing the same damage to car after car between then and Tuesday night. His reasoning was that it was "fun," Okert said.

Erica Harrison's case may have been the most serious. She said she was just sitting in her SUV talking on the phone when she heard a noise and realized her back window had been shot.

"It could have missed one of the cars and went into one of the houses. Someone could have gotten hurt because someone got upset and was enraged," she said. "There's other ways to handle your frustrations than go demolish people's things."

"Your actions do actually affect other people. Your actions have consequences and that people have to live with those and you're going to have to live with them too," McCloud added.

Police said Sartain faces a number of vandalism charges in all three cities, and reckless endangerment for shooting at the car with Harrison sitting inside.

Investigators are also looking for someone who was riding in Sartain's 1995 Chevrolet pick-up truck at the time. Anyone with information should call Goodlettsville or Hendersonville Police.
