MOORE COUNTY, Tenn. – A tour guide at the Jack Daniel distillery in Moore County was struck by a bus on Wednesday morning.

The Moore County Sheriff's Department said the guide was injured on the property on Lynchburg Highway in Lynchburg around 11:30 a.m.

Vanderbilt's LifeFlight helicopter was called to the scene, and took the victim to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. A name and condition were not immediately known.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not released.

The distillery's website said tours are mostly outdoors, and offered on a first-come, first-serve basis Monday through Sunday. Though Moore County is home to the distillery, it has been a dry county since Prohibition.
