Police Search For Armored Car Theft Suspect

NAHVILLE, Tenn. – Police said they are searching for a suspect wanted in connection of  the robbery of an armored vehicle.

Officials with the Nashville Police Department said an employee of Loomis Armored US, LLC was robbed on November 29 outside a Walmart at 5842 Nolensville Pike in Nashville.

Police said the employee left the store with the deposit bag and was pepper sprayed in the face before he could return to the truck. The suspect fled the scene in a 2000s silver Pontiac Sunfire.

The suspect was described by police as a white male, six feet tall and weighing about 210 pounds.

Anyone with information has been urged to contact the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force at 232-7500 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.

Loomis Armored US, LLC, has offered a $5,000 reward to anyone with information leading to an arrest.
