JOELTON, Tenn. – Cleanup continued in Davidson County Sunday after this weekend's round of severe storms.

For nearly the entire day in Joelton, a neighborhood along Baxter Road was without power, nearly 24 hours after the storms swept through the area.

Electrical crews worked to repair and replace power poles that were destroyed in the weather.

"It broke two poles and we had to replace the two poles and re-conduct our wire across the interstate," said Lennon Payne, a worker with Nashville Electric Service.

Other neighbors in Joelton were worried about the hams and other Christmas dinner items stocked up in their refrigerators, which had to go about 24 hours without power.

Power was finally restored to the community late Sunday night. Officials with the Nashville Electric Service reported about 4,000 customers lost power as a result of the storms. They said Antioch was one of the hardest hit areas during the outage.
