High School Student Charged With Tweeting Bomb Threat

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A student at Hillwood High School has been charged with using social media to post a bomb threat.

Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said 18-year-old Aaron Lampert was arrested Monday and charged with posting a bomb threat to his Twitter account. Police said the threat regarding the school was posted to Twitter on December 17.

A student at the school apparently saw the tweet and alerted school administrators.

Police said Lampert later admitted posting the threat. According to officials, the threat involved a personal issue at the school.

Investigators said Lampert has since been suspended from the school system.

Bond was set at $2,000.
