Police Still Probing Disappearance Eight Years Later

Posted: Updated:

VINE GROVE, Ky. (AP) - Police in central Kentucky are hoping to provide answers to the family and friends of a woman who vanished eight years ago after leaving her home to go to the bank.

Vine Grove Police Chief Kenneth Mattingly told WLKY-TV in Louisville that investigators are pouring over the file on Vicky Delaurier, who was last seen by a neighbor the night of December 17, 2005.

Police found Delaurier's car the next day, but could find no sign of her. Mattingly says Delaurier was going to make a $3,000 bank deposit for her employer, Save-A-Lot, but the money never made it into the bank.

Mattingly said investigators are looking for anything that can be done to find Delaurier, given the changes in DNA technology and other forms of evidence examination.
