LEBANON, Tenn - Someone has been spreading Christmas cheer throughout Lebanon for several days and as of Christmas Eve, no one has identified the woman.

Those who have seen her said she walks into low-cost stores, such as Cash Saver and Dollar General, approaches random people and hands them a card.

Inside each card has been a $100 bill. Recipients said the woman disappears as soon as she hands over the card.

Billy Brooks got one at the Cash Saver grocery store.

"She walked up to me and said 'Here sir, this is for you,'" said Brooks. "I started to leave it, but something told me not to. I got home and looked in it. I brought it back to the store and they told me yeah this is real."

Kevin Means, the store's manager, said the woman started showing up on Sunday.

"We could go back on the security camera," he said. "But I think she might want to remain anonymous."

Kevin Bowling and Crystal Griffin got one Tuesday.

"We almost bumped into her," Griffin said. "She turned around and said 'Hey, Merry Christmas.' I took it, he opened it and before we could say anything and thank you she was already out the door."

Employees have heard she's handed out at least six cards at the Cash Saver. Many had heard she'd popped up at multiple stores around town.

The unidentified woman has perhaps given away more than $1,000 this Christmas Season.
