FRANKLIN, Tenn. (AP) - The son of a Williamson County pastor who died on his 19th birthday will be honored during the Rose Parade on January 1 in California.

Pastor Steve Berger said he and his wife did not know Josiah Berger had signed up to be an organ donor until after he died in a car wreck in August 2009.

Berger said that because of his son's lifesaving donations to others, "he lives on in more than one way. He lives in heaven and he lives on Earth."

This year, the Rose Parade's Donate Life float will have a portrait in flowers of Josiah Berger. Also, a charity named after the teenager will present a "dedication garden" as part of the float.
