Police: 13 Molotov Cocktails Found In Hendersonville Man's Home

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. – A Sumner County man has been arrested and charged after police found 13 Molotov cocktails inside his home.

Officials with the Hendersonville Police Department said 20-year-old Tanner Buchanan was arrested Saturday.

The suspect was arrested during a traffic stop after police said he appeared to be driving under the influence of alcohol. Police said three Molotov cocktail explosives were found in Buchanan's backpack. They said he admitted to having more of the devices at his home.

According to officials, 13 more Molotov cocktails were found in his home, located on Lock 3 Road Access in Hendersonville. They said the devices were found and rendered to be safe.

Buchanan was charged with DUI, Implied Consent, Simple Possession of Marijuana, and four counts of Prohibited Weapons.

The suspect has been booked into the Sumner County Jail. Bond was set at $300,000.

Buchanan was scheduled to appear in court on January 22.
