EAST RIDGE, Tenn. (AP) - An endangered child alert has been issued for a Tennessee man and 7-month-old boy last seen in East Ridge just outside of Chattanooga.

East Ridge police were looking for the toddler, Jeffery Cocke, and his non-custodial father, 49-year-old Joseph Franklin Jr.

Police said Franklin went to the boy's home early Monday, and took the baby while the mother had gone out to pick up medicine for the sick child.

Franklin is a white male, standing approximately five-feet, seven-inches tall and weighing 180 pounds. He has brown eyes and red hair that is beginning to gray.

East Ridge police said Franklin has active warrants against him in both Tennessee and Georgia.

Franklin was driving a red 2011 Toyota Corolla with Tennessee license plate number 430-YBQ, and may be headed to Georgia.

Anyone with information was asked to call the East Ridge Police Department at 423-622-1725 or TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
