Music City Bowl Causes Headache For Downtown Commuters
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Many motorists had a difficult time driving through downtown Nashville Monday night.
Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said a combination of downtown events caused traffic to stall and remain at a standstill.
The Music City Bowl wrapped up just after 6 p.m. during rush hour traffic. To make matters worse, the Predators also played at Bridgestone Arena at 7 p.m. Monday. As a result of the barricaded traffic, many fans were stuck on Korean Veterans Boulevard.
Public works crews finally re-opened Korean Veterans inbound around 6:50 p.m. to help ease some of the traffic problems.
Students in the Academy of Energy and Power at Maplewood are busy getting ready for next week's Project Expo and had the opportunity to show it off some of their projects to Tennessee Congressman Jim Cooper.
