Search Underway In Murfreesboro For Missing Man With Dementia

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Police said they are looking for an elderly man suffering from dementia in Murfreesboro.

Officials with the Murfreesboro Police Department said 72-year-old Jerry Scott was reported missing after he did not return home Tuesday evening. He was last seen at 4:30 p.m.

According to police, Scott suffers from dementia and depression. 

There was no immediate photo released of the man. He has been described as a white male with green eyes and whitish, blonde hair. He is said to be 5-foot-eight inches tall and 142 pounds.

Police said he was last seen around wearing a black leather bomber jacket, brown corduroy pants, and black loafers. They said he was driving a white 2012 Toyota Highlander, with Tennessee license plate J302.

Anyone with information has been asked to contact Mureesboro Police.
