LEOMA, Tenn. – Two people were arrested in connection with the New Year's Day stabbing of a man in Lawrence County.

The Lawrence County Sheriff's Office said 31-year-old Mario Estrada stabbed 32-year-old Randall Charles Davis at a home on Rabbit Trail Road in Leoma. Investigators found the stabbing occurred when Davis refused to allow Estrada and 23-year-old Crystal Carranza leave the home with a child while under the influence.

Davis was stabbed multiple times. He was flown by Air Evac to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, where he was listed in stable condition on Thursday morning.

Estrada and Carranza were taken into custody by Maury County Sheriff's deputies after a "BOLO" (Be On The Lookout) was issued for the van they fled the scene in.

A warrant for attempted second degree murder was issued for Estrada, while a warrant for accessory after the fact was issued for Carranza related to this incident. Holds were placed on both individuals to be brought before the Lawrence County General Sessions Court at a later time.

Both face additional charges in Maury County, as Estrada allegedly led police on a chase following the stabbing.
