NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A woman was arrested after an alleged assault over a fender bender that happened in a high school parking lot.

The 17-year-old victim was picking up her brother at Cane Ridge High School when she backed into another vehicle on December 20.

The driver, 24-year-old Shelekra Shelton, got out of the car and allegedly started yelling at the victim. A police affidavit said Shelton's underage sister, who was also in the car, grabbed the victim from behind and started hitting her. Shelton allegedly then hit the victim as well.

An affidavit said the incident was caught on video.

School staff were able to stop the assault, but Shelton fled the scene, according to the affidavit. She was arrested Thursday night and charged with assault.

The victim suffered a mark on her face and a sore neck, but did not require hospitalization.

It was not clear if Shelton's sister was charged in the assault.
