Crews Battle Two-Alarm Fire At South Nashville Apartments

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Crews battled a two-alarm fire at an apartment complex in South Nashville.

Officials with the Nashville Fire Department said the fire broke out Saturday afternoon at the Nashboro Village Apartment Complex located on Village Drive in Nashville.

Fire Crews said they arrived on the scene and found heavy smoke coming from one half of the building. As a precaution, a second-alarm was dispatched. The fire was subsequently contained to a laundry room on the first floor of the building.

According to officials, the fire was said to have possibly originated from a dryer.

Firefighters said no one was injured during the fire, but one cat was not able to be rescued.

There were no other details immediately available.
