NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A Smith County man, convicted of sex trafficking, has been sentenced to 176 years in prison.

Officials with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said Larry Douglas Clemens was sentenced Thursday in a Smith County courtroom. Clemens pleaded guilty in November to 33 charges. The maximum penalty was carried out for each charge.

The TBI said Clemons pleaded guilty to six counts of Trafficking for Sexual Servitude, one count of Attempted Trafficking for Sexual Servitude, one count of Especially Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, fourteen counts of Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, six counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and five counts of Statutory Rape.

Clemons was arrested at his home in Carthage, Tennessee in 2012 after the TBI discovered he had exchanged child pornography with another individual.

Inside the home, the TBI said they found evidence of sex trafficking.
