CADIZ, Ky. - Three people were arrested after a traffic stop in southern Kentucky turned up thousands of dollars' worth of meth.

Kentucky State Troopers stopped a car on Highway 68 near Roger Thomas Road around 11 p.m. Wednesday after getting word a shipment of meth was on its way to Cadiz from Georgia. They had also received word that a drug buy was going to take place in the parking lot of a Cadiz business.

They found several baggies of meth inside, valued at $5,500.

Arrested were Christian Gonzalez, 27; Jamelle Morris, 26; and Heather Sherwood, 20. All three, from Georgia, were charged with drug trafficking and possession and booked in the Christian County jail.
