CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A 69-year-old driver was hauling a load of soybeans in Montgomery County when the load shifted, causing the truck to roll over and spill onto the street.

Officials said Richard Warren was operating a Freightliner tractor on Tiny Town Road in Clarksville around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday when he tried to make a left turn onto Peachers Mill Road.

It was when the truck and trailer turned that the load shifted, causing them to roll.

Several witnesses worked to free Warren from the vehicle. He was transported to Gateway Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.

Officers with the Clarksville Police Department responded to the scene to help direct traffic. Drivers were advised to avoid the area for several hours.

The roadway was cleared around 5:30 p.m.

Warren was cited for operator failure to use reasonable care.
