MANCHESTER, Tenn. -  A 911 operator was arrested in Manchester for allegedly warning an accused drug kingpin of a police investigation.

Detectives arrested 25-year-old police dispatcher Katie Hillis after admitted to contacting accused drug dealer Jessie Trimue with sensitive information about the police department's drug investigation.

"She would know times and dates and that a drug investigation was in a particular area," said Manchester Police Chief Yogi Yother.

Yother said doing so put undercover officers at risk.

"Anytime you deal with anybody in a drug situation there is an element of danger," said Yother.

Because of the information leak it took detectives longer than expected to catch Trimue. But they finally initiated an undercover drug buy that led to his arrest.

Trimue currently faces felony drug charges. The FBI seems to think he imported the high quality ice or meth from out of state.
Hillis no longer works for dispatch and faces charges for leaking confidential information.
