Police Investigate Two Shootings In Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police were investigating two possibly related shooting incidents Thursday night.

One victim told police he was walking between buildings around 2nd Ave South around 10:30 p.m. when two men ran up behind him and attempted to rob him.

The victim attempted to run away, but heard two guns being fired. He then noticed he had been shot in the left ankle, according to police.

He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Another shooting victim showed up at the Centennial Medical Center emergency room just before 10:30 p.m. The victim told police he was walking somewhere in North Nashville when a red or maroon Chevy Impala drove up and those inside began shooting at him.

The victim ran from the scene, but realized he had been shot in his left knee. He was taken to Centennial by private vehicle.

Detectives were working to determine if the shooting victims are related to the same incident.

No arrests have been made.
