Families Displaced After South Nashville Apartment Fire

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Several residents have been displaced after an early morning apartment fire in South Nashville.

Officials with the Nashville Fire Department said the fire broke out Saturday morning at the Bavaria Apartments, located on Packard Drive in South Nashville.

Fire officials said the fire likely originated inside the walls of the second floor of a two-story apartment. Investigators believe the fire was an electrical problem. 

A total of four units sustained smoke damage as a result of the blaze. Several families have been displaced.

The American Red Cross has been called in to assist those in need of temporary housing.
