Masked Man Wanted In La Vergne Bank Robbery

LA VERGNE, Tenn. – Police in La Vergne have been searching for the masked man they said burst into a credit union with a handgun and wearing a ski mask.

Officials said Southeast Financial Credit Union at 325 Waldron Road was robbed at 11:56 a.m. Thursday.

The male suspect entered the building wearing a brown mask and demanded money. Police said the suspect was carrying a black semi-automatic handgun.

The suspect left the building just a minute later with an undisclosed amount of money.

Officials said the man was seen getting into a green Chrysler minivan, possibly with temporary tags.

No one was hurt during the robbery.

Officers were working to apprehend the suspect. Anyone with information should contact the La Vergne Police Department at (615)793-7744.
