Survivors Of Kentucky Fatal Fire Return Home From Hospital

Posted: Updated:

GREENVILLE, Ky. – The two survivors of a fatal fire in Kentucky have returned home from the hospital.

Chad Watson and his daughter, Kylie, returned home to Kentucky after being released from Vanderbilt University Medical Center. On Saturday, they two were greeted by several supporters as they drove through the town of Greenville.

As they drove past Muhlenberg High School, Chad Watson could be seen driving, with Kylie in the passenger seat. Many supporters were wearing t-shirts that read, "Watson Strong."

Tim Burden of Calvary Baptist Church was also on-hand to greet the Watsons.

"Just a moment to where you can't keep the tears from flowing because you're excited that two were spared," he said. "They have a big purpose in life, obviously. So again it's just overwhelming joy that they're here."

Chad and Kylie Watson were the lone survivors of a devastating house fire that swept through their home on January 30. Nine of their family members, including Watson's wife and eight of their children were killed in the fire.
