Bob Kingsley Honored For Four Decades In Radio

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - On Monday night, country music artists and fans came out to honor Bob Kingsley, the most listened to voice in country radio.

Chris Young was part of the star-studded show at the Grand Ole Opry that honored the four decades Kingsley has been on the radio.

He was the voice of American County Countdown until 2006 when he started his own show, Bob Kingsley's Country Top 40. It's that staying power that brought out superstars to pay tribute.

"Bob Kingsley is as much an icon in radio as Johnny Cash is an icon in the creative part," said Garth Brooks. "This guy's the man. He deserves a night like this and many others."

Kingsley can be heard on 350 radio stations across the world.
