2nd Victim In Burned East Tennessee Home Dies

Posted: Updated:

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Police said a second victim pulled from a burned East Tennessee home has died.

Greenville police said that 49-year-old Roger Dewayne Aiken died Tuesday from injuries he suffered on Sunday.

That's when firefighters were called to the Greenville home that he shared with his aunt, 78-year-old Elizabeth Cooter. She died at the scene.

Police said they think the fire was set to cover up a crime because Aiken and Cooter both suffered injuries unrelated to the blaze.

The investigation is continuing.
