NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A Robertson County man recently added to the state's Top Ten Most Wanted list has turned himself in.

Springfield Police said 24-year-old Darius Hyde surrendered Tuesday night at the Robertson County Jail. He was booked on a charge of criminal homicide around 9:30 p.m., and held without bond.

Officials with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation had added Hyde to their Most Wanted list Tuesday. He was wanted by the Springfield Police Department for the murder of Joseph Sharkley, of Gallatin.

Sharkley was shot and killed Saturday on Central Avenue in Springfield. Police said he was in a Jeep Cherokee with two females, also from Gallatin, when he was struck by gunfire. The shots were said to have been fired into the rear of the SUV.

According to investigators, Hyde has a criminal history of Aggravated Kidnapping, Aggravated Assault and Evading Arrest.
