Weekend Construction Expected To Cause Delays On I-65S In Williamson County

Posted: Updated:

FRANKLIN, Tenn. - Expect some travel delays on Interstate 65 in Williamson County this weekend.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation will conduct rolling roadblocks Sunday, April 27th from 5 a.m. until 7 p.m to set steel beams for the Goose Creek Bypass-Peystonsville Road interchange.

All lanes of southbound traffic will be slowed temporarily to allow workers to safely lift the steel bridge beams over the interstate. TDOT warned motorist to expect long delays and plan on using alternate routes if possible.

The work is part of a 46-point million dollar project to widen I-65 between State route 840 and the Goose Creek Bypass, and to modify the interchange and widen the roadway on the Goose Creek Bypass in Williamson County.
