John Oates Celebrates Hall Of Fame Induction, New Album

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – One of the newest members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has another reason to celebrate.

John Oates, of the famous duo Hall and Oates, has released a new solo album, titled “Good Road to Follow.” An album launch brunch was held Sunday at Two Old Hippies in Nashville.

Oates took the opportunity to thank those who made the new album possible.

"Because of the nature of the album, there's so many collaborations, so many different players, producers, engineers,” he said. “So it was an opportunity to get them all in one place and thank them."

Oates was recently inducted in into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, along with Daryl Hall. Other inductees this year, included Peter Gabriel, Cat Stevens, Nirvana and KISS.

A native New Yorker, Oates’ family relocated to Philadelphia, where he later met Daryl Hall. In 1970, they formed the duo, Hall and Oates.

He released his first solo album in 2002.
