Police In Murfreesboro Investigate Double Homicide

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Police in Murfreesboro have identified the two men shot and killed on Tuesday morning.

Murfreesboro Police officers responded to reports of gunfire at 2206 Sycamore Circle around 1:55 a.m. and arrived to find two people shot.

One person died at the scene, while the other died after being taken to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. The two victims were identified as 44-year-old Robert Aubrey McAdoo Jr. and 47-year-old Michael Orlando Evans.

Officers gathered evidence, including shell casings. It was unclear how many shots were fired, but two neighbors called police to report the gunfire.

Police said no arrests have been made, but they believe the shooting could be gang related.
