NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police have asked the public’s help in identifying a suspect, accused of assaulting a woman in South Nashville.

Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said a 27-year-old Nepali woman was assaulted by a man in the parking lot of South Brook Apartments on Linbar Drive.

She told police two men in an older model gray car pulled up beside her and attempted to talk to her.

The woman, who speaks mostly Nepali, reported she could not understand the men. Police said she ran away in an attempt to get away from them, when one of the men ran after her.

The victim said the suspect tackled and assaulted her. The other man, who was wearing a white shirt, reportedly pulled him away from the woman, enabling her to safely get away.

Anyone recognizing the men or the vehicle in the accompanying surveillance photographs is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at (615)74-CRIME.
