Montgomery Co. Sheriff’s Office Issues Warning About Impersonator

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has issued a warning about a man impersonating a sheriff’s lieutenant.

Captain Jesse Reynolds said someone has been calling citizens, pretending to be a Sheriff’s Office lieutenant, and telling them they have a warrant on file.

If a person has a warrant on file, Reynolds said officers would come to their home in uniform or a marked patrol vehicle and request that they come to the Sheriff’s Office.

Anyone with information about this incident or receiving this type of call was asked to call Investigator Billy Wall at 931-648-0611, ext. 13415.
