Suspect Charged After Shooting At Hickman Co. Campground

NUNNELLY, Tenn. – A suspect has been charged in connection with a shooting that injured two people at a campground in Hickman County.

Officials with the Hickman County Sheriff's Office said the incident happened around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, at the Pinewood Canoe and Campground in Nunnelly.

Patrick Carr and Robert McGill were shot during the Chunderfest music festival. Investigators said Justin Wise, of Dickson, has been identified as the alleged shooter. 

A motive for the shooting has not yet been established. 

Wise was arrested early Sunday morning and charged with two counts of attempted criminal homicide. 

Both Carr and McGill were taken by Lifeflight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. They were released from the hospital early Sunday morning. 

Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing.
