Sumner Co. Music Instructor Arrested On Statutory Rape Charge

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. – A Sumner County music instructor has been arrested for the alleged statutory rape of a 15-year-old girl.

Hendersonville Police arrested 50-year-old Charles “Charlie” Cook Monday and charged him with aggravated statutory rape and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Cook is an instructor of music for the Hendersonville Music Academy, but police did not say whether his victim was one of his students.

Cook was booked into the Sumner County Jail on $50,000 bond. A court date was set for May 28.
