MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – A Murfreesboro man was charged with public intoxication after police said he tried to have sex with an ATM and a picnic table.

A report from Murfreesboro Police said 49-year-old Lonnie J. Hutton was arrested at The Boro Bar and Grill on Greenland Drive on Friday night.

The report said Hutton came into the bar, walked over to the ATM, and pulled down his pants and underwear. The report said “Mr. Hutton then attempted to have sexual intercourse with the ATM.”

Hutton then allegedly began to walk around the bar “nude” while “thrusting his hips in the air.”

Someone took Hutton outside, where he then allegedly “engaged in sexual intercourse with the wooden picnic table.”

The responding officer said Hutton had slurred speech and bloodshot eyes, was unsteady on his feet, and smelled like alcohol.

Hutton was taken into custody and booked into the Rutherford County Jail.
