MT JULIET, Tenn. – A runaway teenager from Mt. Juliet has been found safe in Davidson County.

Officials with the Mt. Juliet Police Department said 16-year-old Travis “Vincent” Walter was located around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, on Hollywood Drive in Old Hickory.

Walter ran away from home on May 22, 2014. He reportedly failed to appear in juvenile court on Tuesday.

“Our department is so thankful for the many tips that came in to our emergency communications center, and we are thankful that Vincent was located so quickly,” stated Police Lieutenant Tyler Chandler. “The power of a community is much stronger when it’s organized, and social media helps us build that strength through quick communication.”

Police said numerous tips from citizens helped them locate the teen.
