Franklin Police Investigate Recent Daytime Apartment Burglaries

Posted: Updated:

FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Police in Franklin have asked apartment residents in the area to be vigilant after a recent rash of daytime burglaries.

Franklin Police said two units at an un-gated community were burglarized on Wednesday. On Thursday, two residents of a gated community also found their doors had been forced open.

The burglars stole valuables from three of the apartments, as the fourth apartment was vacant at the time of the burglary.

Police said all of the units were next to a wooded or other private area.

Franklin Police said they have increased both marked and unmarked patrols.

Apartment residents in Franklin, especially those who are typically home during the daytime hours, have been urged to keep an eye out and report anything suspicious to Franklin Police's 911 dispatch.
