NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A driver has been indicted after a fatal collision that killed a man who was resting on a bench in downtown Nashville.

Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said 23-year-old Mina Wahba was indicted Monday, on charges of vehicular homicide, reckless endangerment and driving without proof of insurance.

On February 27, Wahba was driving a Toyota Camry that jumped a curb on Church Street and struck 56-year-old Philip Radican.

Radican was homeless and known to frequent the area of 7th Avenue North and Church Street.

Witnesses told police Wahba ran a red light at the intersection and collided with another car that was turning left onto Church Street. The impact of the collision forced the Camry onto the curb and collided with the bench where Radican was sitting.

Radican was pronounced deceased on the scene.
