Bonnaroo Gets Under Way In Manchester

MANCHESTER, Tenn. - Tens of thousands of music fans have arrived in Manchester for the Bonnaroo Music and Arts festival.

The music got underway Thursday afternoon in a huge field in Manchester. The festival will run through Sunday, June 15th.

Festival organizers say they expect up to 80 thousand people to attend this year.

There are several big names on the lineup this year. Kanye West is set to perform Friday followed by  Lionel Ritchie and Jack White on Saturday. Sir Elton John is set to headline on Sunday.

When Bonnaroo comes to close Sunday officials at Nashville International Airport say expect longer security lines.

They are expecting a heavier crowd at the airport Monday, June 16, and Tuesday, June 17. Passengers are encouraged to arrive at least two hours before their scheduled flight.
