The three-count rape indictment accused Watkins of having non-consensual sex with the alleged victim once in 2012 and twice in 2013.

The 36-year-old Watkins was jailed in lieu of $100,000 bond.

At the time of his decommissioning, Watkins was assigned to the Madison Precinct’s Investigations Unit. Since January 27th, he had been restricted to a desk job at headquarters.
