Gunman Attempts To Rob Aldi In Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A gunman attempted to rob a Clarksville grocery store on Monday afternoon.

Around 2:30 p.m., Clarksville Police were called to Aldi on Fort Campbell Boulevard for a robbery in progress.

The gunman fled on foot before officers arrived. He did not get away with any money or items.

Police said he had a white shirt over his head and was carrying a 9 mm pistol. He was described as a white male with salt and pepper colored hair with a gray goatee.

Surveillance also caught the attempted robber at a nearby business approximately 30 minutes before he entered the Aldi. Police said he appeared to be wearing a wig.

He was also seen driving a Volvo with a Davidson County license plate.
