NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A dump truck driver had to ditch his load of trash on a downtown Nashville street overnight after it caught fire.

Just before 1:15 a.m. Thursday, the driver noticed his load was on fire while driving along James Robertson Parkway. He dumped the flaming trash on the roadway in order to save the truck.

Firefighters arrived to quickly douse the flames with water.

No one was hurt.
