Fire Destroys Garage, Attic Of Mt. Juliet Home

MT. JULIET, Tenn. – Fire destroyed the garage and attic at a Mt. Juliet home on Thursday afternoon.

Crews were called to the home in the 2100 block of Erin Lane around 12:45 p.m.

Everyone was able to get out of the home safely.

Mt. Juliet Firefighters were able to contain the blaze within a half hour. Mt. Juliet Police and the Wilson County Emergency Management Agency were also on scene to assist.

An estimate of the damage was unknown, but officials said the fire destroyed the garage and attic. Firefighters were able to salvage many of the family's belongings.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.

Police said Erin Lane and Bradford Park Road were blocked by fire engines and other equipment.
