¿Que Pasa Nashville? is a half-hour program dedicated to the opportunities and challenges facing the growing Hispanic community in Middle Tennessee. Latino leaders estimate more than 150,000 Hispanics now call Middle Tennessee home, and they expect that number to continue to grow. Host Cristina Allen is a well-respected and long-time member of Nashville's Hispanic community.
This Month on Que Pasa Nashville:
When you think of a Latino, what image comes to mind? On this episode of QUE
PASA NASHVILLE, we'll be talking about how the image of Latinos has changed in
Middle Tennessee to one of entrepreneurship, being part of the workforce, and
being a contributing member of society. Cristina Allen is joined by the
chairman of the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Marc A. Rodríguez, who has
seen the change first hand; from being a busboy to an Ivy League graduate, to a
municipal employee, to a successful entrepreneur. He cites perseverance,
effective communication, and execution, as qualities of any successful
executive. He says that is what we are starting to see in many Latinos.
Be sure to tune in to listen to his amazing story of success and how he sees
the community growing in Middle Tennessee.
