5 roma tomatoes, quartered
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 T red wine vinegar
2 T olive oil
1 T finely chopped fresh basil
salt and pepper

Place tomatoes in a bowl and toss them well with the garlic, vinegar,  oil, basil, salt and pepper to taste.  Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Makes 4 servings
