Ingredients:
1 (16-oz) pkg ground round or lean ground beef
1 (14-oz) pkg turkey smoked sausage, sliced on the diagonal in ½-inch pieces
1 (1.34-oz) pkg hot and sour soup mix
6-8 c water
1 c chopped celery
1 (16-oz) can diced tomatoes
1 (15-oz) can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 c barley
Directions:
Brown beef and sausage in large saucepan; drain and return to saucepan. Add soup mix, water, celery, diced tomatoes and black beans. Cook slowly for 30-45 minutes. Add barley and cook another 30 minutes or until mixture has thickened.
Yields 6-8 servings
