Ingredients:
1 lb ground round or lean ground beef
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 t minced garlic
2 (15-oz) cans black beans, undrained
1 (15-oz) can diced tomatoes
1 (14-oz) can tomatoes and green chilies
1 c salsa
1 ½ c water
1/2 t cumin
½ t salt
Directions:
Brown ground round, onion and garlic in large saucepan; drain and return to saucepan. Add black beans, diced tomatoes, tomatoes and green chilies, salsa, water, cumin and salt. Cook over medium heat until thickened, about 30-45 minutes.
Yields 6-8 servings
