Teen Sentenced for Shooting Death

The teenager who shot and killed a Nashville real estate agent will also be in court Friday.

Cyntoia Brown of Clarksville will be sentenced for the death of Johnny Allen in 2004.

Brown, then 16, was homeless at the time of the shooting. She told police the 43-year-old man picked her up at a Sonic Drive-in Restaurant on Murfreesboro Pike. Police found in his bed, with a gunshot wound in the back of his head.

She told police she shot Allen because she thought he was reaching for a gun and was going to shoot her.

In August, a jury convicted Brown of first-degree murder and robbery. She faces at least 51 years in jail.
