The Nashville Kats start training camp on Monday. Unlike previous years, players will not play on both sides of the ball.
Kats Quarterback Clint Stoerner says it is a positive change.
"I think eventually in the long run, when those - quote, unquote - NFL guys or Division 1 college guys learn how to be an Arena League football player, the quality of the league will go up," says Stoerner.
The Kats open the 2007 Thursday, March 1 against the Columbus Destroyers at the Gaylord Entertainment Center in Nashville.
