Oatmeal:
8 oz steel cut oats
16 oz milk
16 oz water
pinch salt
Bring water, milk and salt to a boil. Add oats let simmer for approximately 20 minutes or until soft. Place in brulee dishes.
Crème Brulee:
16 oz heavy cream
1 oz vanilla
6 oz sugar
4 egg yolks, beaten
Combine cream, vanilla, 3 oz sugar, bring to boil. Combine yolks, 3 oz sugar, and temper into hot cream mixture, cook until thick. Place brulee mixture on top of oatmeal. Coat top with sugar. Place under broiler until caramelized. Serve with fresh berries.
