The developer of the new downtown Nashville Sounds baseball complex made a big announcement Tuesday afternoon.
A 180-room loft hotel and the 168-room Element Hotel will be part of the new Sounds ball park when it is completed on the riverfront site in 2009.
Guests will shell out $135 to $200 dollars per night at both hotels.
Struever Brothers and Eccles & Rouse made the announcement at a press conference.
The new Sounds baseball complex will sit on the old Nashville Thermal Transfer Plant site.
The Sounds announced last week that ballpark construction cannot begin until a construction account is fully funded from contributions by the Sounds and the developer.
That process is taking longer than expected.
